Sicherheitsvorfall - City of Vicksburg
Nach einem Ransomware-Angriff hat die US-Stadt Vicksburg im Bundesstaat Mississippi ihre Computersysteme aus Sicherheitsgründen abgeschaltet. Wie Medien Anfang Oktober 2026 berichteten, ist der genaue Zeitpunkt des Vorfalls bislang unklar. Um weiteren Schaden abzuwenden, trennte die Verwaltung die Internetverbindungen. Dies führte zu möglichen Verzögerungen bei der persönlichen Bezahlung von Versorgungsleistungen für rund 10.000 Kunden vor Ort. Die Stadt betonte jedoch, dass während des Systemausfalls weder Strafgebühren verhängt noch Dienstleistungen eingestellt würden.
