Angreifer entwendeten rund 7 Millionen USD aus mehreren Hot Wallets, die Gelder wurden anschließend über vier Blockchains, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Tron und Bitcoin, verteilt und überwiegend in Ether umgewandelt. Sicherheitsexperten gehen davon aus, dass ein kompromittierter privater Schlüssel den schnellen Zugriff ermöglichte. Duelbits nahm die Plattform offline, um den Vorfall zu untersuchen. Ein Mitbegründer bestätigte den Diebstahl und erklärte, Kundengelder seien nicht betroffen; die Hot Wallets würden wieder aufgefüllt und der Betrieb so bald wie möglich fortgesetzt.
