CVE-2026-89332 - Kiro IDE Sensitive Workspace Data Exfiltration via Agent-Written Workspace Configuration

Bulletin ID: 2026-111-AWS Scope: AWS Content Type: Important (requires attention) Publication Date: 09/11/2026 12:00 PM PDT Description: Kiro IDE is an agentic development environment that makes it easy for developers to ship real engineering work with the help of AI agents. We identified CVE-2026-89332, where the Kiro agent could modify a workspace's settings file in an untrusted workspace in Kiro IDE. A specially crafted repository could use this to point the Kiro Powers registry URL, which Kiro fetches when the Powers panel is opened, at an external endpoint, sending potentially sensitive workspace data to that endpoint. Kiro presented the edit to the user for approval, showing the inserted data and the URL, but the file was already written to disk, so opening the Powers panel before responding to the prompt made the request anyway. Impacted versions: Kiro IDE < 0.8.135 Please refer to the article below for the most up-to-date and complete information related to this AWS Security Bulletin.

CVE-2026-86831: Improper validation of pod identifier uniqueness in aws-network-policy-agent in Amazon EKS

Bulletin ID: 2026-113-AWS Scope: AWS Content Type: Important (requires attention) Publication Date: 09/16/2026 12:30 PM PDT Description: Network Policy Agent is an EKS Policy management feature. We identified CVE-2026-86831, a cross-namespace NetworkPolicy bypass in Amazon EKS Network Policy Agent (aws-network-policy-agent) before v1.4.0. Pod identifiers are constructed by concatenating the pod name and namespace with a hyphen delimiter, which is a legal character in both Kubernetes pod names and namespace names. This ambiguity can produce identical identifiers for pods across different namespaces, potentially allowing NetworkPolicy enforcement to be bypassed. Impacted versions: - 1.14.0<1.22.3 Amazon VPC CNI Managed Add-on - < v1.4.0 Network Policy Agent Please refer to the article below for the most up-to-date and complete information related to this AWS Security Bulletin.

CVE-2026-103956, CVE-2026-103957, and CVE-2026-103958 - Issues in Loom for AWS

Bulletin ID: 2026-124-AWS Scope: AWS Content Type: Important (requires attention) Publication Date: 10/02/2026 12:00 PM PDT Description: Loom is an AWS Labs open-source AI agent orchestration platform. We have identified and addressed three issues in Loom for AWS, described below. We recommend upgrading to the latest version (1.7.0) and ensuring any forked or derivative code is patched to incorporate the new fixes. - CVE-2026-103956 ‐ Authentication bypass in Loom for AWS (CWE-306, CWE-1188) An issue in the authentication dependency in Loom for AWS versions <1.6.1 allowed any network client to obtain full administrative authority over the agent control plane ‐ including registering tool servers, reading stored integration credentials, and rewriting IAM role policies attached to managed agent roles ‐ via any request to the application API in a deployment where no identity provider was configured. This issue was addressed in version 1.6.1, released 2026-08-04. - CVE-2026-103957 ‐ OAuth2 token and credential disclosure via outbound request handling in Loom for AWS (CWE-918, CWE-201) An issue in the OAuth2 discovery handling in Loom for AWS versions <1.7.0 allowed an authenticated user with the mcp:write or a2a:write scope to configure a well-known discovery URL whose document directed the backend to send OAuth2 client secrets or another user's access token to a third-party-controlled endpoint. The 1.6.1 release blocked internal-address reach for this code path but did not fully address the token disclosure. This issue was fully addressed in version 1.7.0. - CVE-2026-103958 ‐ Outbound request handling issue in tool server and remote agent connections in Loom for AWS (CWE-918) An issue in the tool server (MCP) and remote agent (A2A) connection handling in Loom for AWS versions <1.7.0 allowed an authenticated user with the mcp:write or a2a:write scope to direct connection requests to arbitrary internal network locations — including the container's credential-vending endpoint ‐ and read the responses. This issue was addressed in version 1.7.0. Please refer to the article below for the most up-to-date and complete information related to this AWS Security Bulletin.

CVE-2026-105811 - Authorization bypass through a user-controlled key in the Amazon Q Business Lambda hook sample in QnABot on AWS

Bulletin ID: 2026-126-AWS Scope: AWS Content Type: Important (requires attention) Publication Date: 10/06/2026 13:00 PM PDT Description: QnABot on AWS is a sample solution of a multi-channel, multi-language conversational interface (chatbot) that responds to your customer's questions, answers, and feedback. We identified CVE-2026-105811 in the optional Amazon Q Business Lambda hook sample of QnABot on AWS. The Amazon Q Business Lambda hook sample (q-business-lambda-hook) is an optional integration sample included in the QnABot on AWS repository. It requires separate, manual deployment and additional setup; it is not deployed automatically with QnABot. Customers who have not deployed this sample are not affected and do not need to take action. Authorization bypass through a user-controlled key in the sample included with QnABot on AWS versions 7.0.0 through 7.4.5 might allow an authenticated remote user to read arbitrary Amazon S3 objects in the deploying AWS account. To remediate this issue, affected customers should update the QnABot on AWS stack to version 7.4.6 or later and then redeploy the Amazon Q Business Lambda hook sample stack. Updating the QnABot on AWS stack alone does not deliver the fix. Impacted versions: >=7.0.0, <7.4.6 Please refer to the article below for the most up-to-date and complete information related to this AWS Security Bulletin.

CVE-2026-81838 - Zip Slip path traversal in awsdac (diagram-as-code)

Bulletin ID: 2026-090-AWS Scope: AWS Content Type: Important (requires attention) Publication Date: 08/27/2026 13:00 PM PDT Description: awsdac (diagram-as-code) is a CLI tool that generates AWS architecture diagrams from YAML definitions, enabling version-controlled, code-driven diagramming. We identified CVE-2026-81838, a Zip Slip (path traversal) issue. When awsdac extracts a zip archive referenced by a ZipFile resource in a definition file, a crafted archive can write files outside the intended cache directory, to any path writable by the user running awsdac. Depending on the file written, this can lead to arbitrary code execution. Leveraging this issue requires processing a definition file from an untrusted source. This can occur when: - awsdac is run without definition trust restrictions (versions prior to 0.22.4 had no trust distinction; version 0.22.4 and later require the −−allow−untrusted−definitions flag), or - a definition file is loaded from the local filesystem ('Type: LocalFile'), which bypasses the definition URL allowlist. CI/CD environments that process definition files from untrusted or semi-trusted sources are the primary risk scenario. awsdac is a client-side CLI tool that renders architecture diagrams locally. This issue does not affect any AWS service, AWS account, or customer data. The impact is limited to the machine on which awsdac runs. Impacted versions: awsdac: versions 0.10 through 0.23 (inclusive) Please refer to the article below for the most up-to-date and complete information related to this AWS Security Bulletin.
